Went out for some drinks last night.
Took a taxi, a six month old (wait, it’s a long name) Ford Transit Custom Voyager (a Tourneo with a taxi conversion).
What the conversion consists of.
Regular seats stripped out and replaced and three jump seats put on the divider between the driver and rear passengers.
As you can see the legroom is amazing. Access is as easy as you think.
Ride was very smooth (cobbled roads were a little more harsh however).
Engine noise from the 126ps 2.2TDCi engine was quiet and acceleration was very smooth. Driver said she drives like a car.
Conclusion: Marginally smoother than a Mercedes and greatly smoother that a LTi TX1-4. For it’s type of vehicle it’s great but would certainly stick with the Skoda Superb (which I took home later on) for ride and comfort.

I just saw one of those in the US on Friday. Was getting used to seeing the European style Transit vans around here, but this one made me do a double-take. It must be a test mule over here for something Ford is cooking up.

They might bring it there because it is slightly smaller than the full size (US) Transit.

We’ve had the Custom and Custom Tourneo for about two years or so now and they still look great. I love the lines. It’s sleek but aggressive.
Sport
M-Sport bodykit and decals.
You may get the Custom and Custom Tourneo but I think the Fiesta van and Transit Courier won’t. :(

It looks so much better than the full Transit. I wonder if I could still order the decals in the US...

You should be able to order the decals but they are specific for the Transit Custom so will need altered for anything different.
